Under-window sink
A classic faucet locks your window
When the sink is installed in front of an inward-opening window, the faucet spout is positioned directly in the path of the window sash. In everyday use, this means:

The VIKÖ solution
Fold down, open, lift up
VIKÖ is hinged at its base: its column folds down at 90° along the worktop, lever included, and protrudes by no more than 6.3 cm. Your window regains its full opening range, without having to give up a proper tall faucet.

The plumber's advice
Before ordering, measure the space between your countertop and the bottom of the window sash: it must be at least 6.3 cm so that the window can clear the folded-down faucet.
Also check that nothing obstructs the column when it is lowered (backsplash, soap dispenser, ledge), and that your countertop is no thicker than 40 mm. If it is less than 15 mm thick, use the provided spacer.
Installation
A classic installation, using a single hole
VIKÖ is installed like any other kitchen mixer tap. The flexible hoses are included in the package.

Turn off the water
Close the shut-off valves under the sink, then remove the old mixer tap.

Thread the flexible hoses
Screw the two supplied flexible hoses into the mixer tap and slide them through the hole (32 to 35 mm) in the sink or worktop.

Tighten the fastener
From underneath, insert the washer and nut, then tighten. Position the faucet so that the column lies correctly toward the window.

Connect and test
Connect the hot and cold water supplies, turn the water back on and check for leaks.

My sink is in front of a window: is VIKÖ suitable?
Yes, it is designed for this. Once folded down, the faucet is 6.3 cm high. Measure the space between your countertop and the bottom of the drop-down window: if it is more than 6.3 cm, the window will open above the faucet.
How do you turn off the faucet?
With one hand and no tools: the column is hinged at its base and folds down 90° along the worktop, lever included. Just remember to turn off the water before folding it down.
Is it compatible with my sink or countertop?
VIKÖ fits over a single 32 to 35 mm hole, in the sink or on a countertop up to 40 mm thick. For a countertop less than 15 mm thick, a spacer is provided. The two 50 cm hoses (G3/8 connection) are included.
What are its dimensions once unfolded?
32.5 cm total height, 25 cm below the spout and 20 cm reach. The complete dimensioned drawing can be found in the technical data sheet, further up on this page.
What is it made of?
VIKÖ is available in 304 stainless steel, with a brushed stainless steel or black finish, and a ceramic cartridge.
Can I install it myself?
If you have already replaced a mixer tap, yes: installation is identical to that of a standard kitchen mixer tap, on a single hole. If not, a plumber can do it quickly.
How do I maintain it?
Soapy water and a soft cloth are all you need. On the brushed stainless steel finish, follow the direction of the brushing. Unscrew and rinse the aerator from time to time to maintain a steady flow. Avoid abrasive or corrosive products: damage caused by limescale or these products is not covered by the warranty.
What's the warranty?
All Olverton faucets are covered by a 2-year warranty against manufacturing and conformity defects, including leaks or mechanism malfunctions caused by a product defect. Improper installation or misuse are not covered.
Can I return it if it doesn't fit?
Yes, you have 30 days after receipt. The product must be returned in its original condition, unused, complete and in its packaging. View the returns policy.
