A warm towel after getting out of the shower

The bars are open at both ends: the towel slides on easily from either the left or the right and dries flat. The long side holds a bath towel, while the short side holds a hand towel.

FEMÖ warms and dries your towels. To heat the entire room, use a suitable heater.

Installation

Installation in four steps, on a finished wall

No plumbing required, no need to redo the tiling: FEMÖ is mounted on the wall simply by drilling a hole and plugs into a standard outlet. The cable comes out at the bottom of the column.

Locate the position
Mark the mounting points, ensuring they are perfectly level, with an outlet within reach of the cable.
Drill and insert wall plugs
Use wall plugs suitable for your wall: tile, drywall, brick, or concrete.
Fix the towel warmer
Place it on its fasteners, check that it is level, then tighten.
Plug in and set up
Plug it in, then select the temperature on the touch control panel.

In the bathroom, the location depends on the safety clearances around the shower and bathtub: have it approved by your electrician. Not sure? Write to us before ordering.

Good to know

From 40 to 60 °C, the bars warm the towels without damaging them. At the maximum temperature, the metal is hot to the touch: lower the setting if young children use the bathroom.

For maintenance, a soft cloth and soapy water are sufficient.

Tout fonctionne parfaitement, la qualité est bonne.

J'ai aimé le sèche-serviettes, la couleur devait être grise, et c'est ce qu'ils ont envoyé. Il était bien emballé, sans rayures. Je ne l'ai pas encore installé, mais j'ai vérifié et tout fonctionne. Il y a eu des problèmes avec le courrier (ce qui n'est pas surprenant), mais le vendeur a toujours été en contact et m'a aidé, pour quoi il mérite un grand merci !

Is any work required to install it?

No. FEMÖ attaches to a finished wall simply by drilling, then plugs into an outlet: no chasing required, no need to redo the tiling.

Why is the column off-center?

This is what gives it its shape, and it’s practical: the bars extend about 40 cm on one side and 26 cm on the other. The long side holds the bath towel, while the short side holds the hand towel or wash mitt.

Where does the cable come out?

At the bottom of the column, below the control unit. Ensure an outlet is within reach of the cable and away from areas exposed to direct splashing.

Where can it be placed in the bathroom?

FEMÖ is protected against water splashes (IPX4). Its location must comply with the safety zones defined around the shower and bathtub, and it must be powered by a protected circuit. Have the location approved by an electrician, especially if you want it near the shower.

How many towels can fit in it?

Two or three bath towels, spaced apart by one bar so that they dry without overlapping, and hand towels on the shorter side. The bars are 70 cm long: a bath towel fits on one without having to be folded.

Can it heat the bathroom?

No, that’s not its role. With 100 W, FEMÖ warms and dries your towels. To heat the volume of the room, keep a suitable heater.

How much does it consume?

100 W at most, or 0.2 kWh for two hours of heating: a few cents worth of electricity.

GLÖD or FEMÖ: which one to choose?

Both are mounted on a finished wall. GLÖD is a 50 cm square, with the column on the side: it fits into a narrow space. FEMÖ is 70 cm wide, with an off-center column: it accommodates a bath towel laid flat and dresses a wider wall.

How to maintain the finishes?

A soft cloth and soapy water are all you need. Avoid abrasive or corrosive products, which are not covered by the warranty.

What is the warranty?

FEMÖ is guaranteed for 2 years against manufacturing and conformity defects. Improper installation or use is not covered.

Can I return it if it doesn't fit?

Yes, you have 30 days after receipt. The product must be returned uninstalled, complete, and in its original packaging. View the returns policy.
